The Godfather

The Godfather
Don Corleone

Play the Godfather on our online piano.

Nino Rota was a fabulous composer, and never got the recognition that he deserved for his other, less well known music.

In this song, Nino Rota captures the langorous feel of Sicily and Italy perfectly.

The director, Francis Coppola, was Rota’s son and knew well the beauty his father was capable of producing.

Nino Rota was born into a family of musicians in Milan. He was initially a student of Giacomo Orefice and Ildebrando Pizzetti until he moved to Rome while still a child and completed his studies under Alfredo Casella at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in 1929.
