The Big Book of Songs is the easiest way for older kids and adults to get started playing songs with both white and black keys. You can easily play songs with both hands, using the right hand to play the melody, and the left hand playing chords (chords are groups of three keys played with the left hand.) No musical training or experience is required.
The Big Book of Songs contains songs which make use of the black and white keys, whereas Piano Is Easy has songs on the white keys only. This follows accepted piano curriculum where beginning lessons always start with the white keys alone to avoid confusion.
In addition, The Big Book contains chord symbols (chords are groups of three keys played with the left hand) so that you can begin playing with both hands. You can leave out the chords until you are ready to try them.
Below is a sample page. The letters are the “chords,” the groups of three keys that you play (it’s optional) with your left hand.

If you’re like most kids starting piano, you’ll want to play with both hands and find the black keys once you’ve gotten used to songs that use only the white keys.
Includes easy step by step setup instructions for applying the removable, numbered stickers to your piano.
It’s easy! Just put the numbered stickers on your piano and you’re ready to play!
You’ll learn how to play more complex songs using both the black and white keys of the piano, like The Entertainer, 12th Street Rag, America, Happy Birthday, Pop Goes the Weasel, Abba Dabba Honeymoon, After You’ve Gone, My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Star Spangled Banner, Yankee Doodle and many more great songs that your child should try at the piano.
It’s a great way for older children and adults to get started at beginner piano, too.
